Week 6 update
Durhamites and Friends of Durham,
Thank you for your continued support! A special thank you this week to Duke Baseball! Coach Pollard and his team gave Feed the Fight Durham some great social media shout-outs which resulted in some fun photos and generous donations.
This has been a busy week for Feed the Fight Durham with 1,460 meals served, including a whopping 250-meal delivery to Lincoln Community Health Center so all workers were fed at the same time.
Through Saturday, May 10th:
4,660 meals delivered
51 restaurants onboard
Planning: We have 1,280 meals scheduled for this coming week. Then, we will reduce our delivery schedule to spread out deliveries into June. Current projected funding needs are $110,000 through May with an additional $10,000/week after that. Details attached.
Funding: Feed the Fight Durham has raised more than $73,000 from more than 500 donors! Amazing! We have two large donations coming in which will push us to $85,000 in the next week. We've also applied for two $5,000 grants (fingers crossed) and we have a chance for some funding from Tito's.
Helping: Please help Feed the Fight Durham by staying safe, spreading the word, and supporting your healthcare workers and restaurants. As you know, I am not a professional fundraiser so I feel awkward asking you for further donations. But if you feel inclined to donate again, we appreciate it. And if you know anyone else who could help Feed the Fight Durham, please forward this email. Thank you for everything, Julia, Ann, Judy, Lindsay, and Susan
